Web-page administration controls, Graphical or just crunch the numbers?
I'm often creating sites from scratch these days and creating a sites functionality isn't nearly as hard as creating a decent administration panel to over view the sites running, this always leads to many hours of fumbling with design but the primary descision recently has been wether or not to create a graphical based over view or just regular list of statistics with according numbers.
I found myself more recently converting entire blocks of statistics into forms such as smilies faces ranging happy to sad based on the output or a simple bar graph, whatever the method I'm finding it easier to scan over admin panels where graphics are used opposed to lists of numbers.
However you do come to a point where there really can be too many graphics and the page becomes flooded, What would you have?
