Most people already know this but:

Most disposable and refillable gas lighters with the metal band around the top which usually sits above the gas flow control on the front (the little slide you move left to right).

When the lighter is dead or seems to have no gas and your really stuck, pick off the metal band strip and pop up the little plastic slide for gas control so that it slips of the little gear it's mounted on, then simply move it back to the left and push it back on to the cog and turn the lighter up more again.

9/10 times this will get you a few extra lights from what you thought was a dead lighter smile

Lol we used to do that when we were younger to make the lighters have a massive flame, obviously when the lighter was full of gas...toungue

lol me too but yeah it came in handy when you really need a light lol
